What Is CrossFit?

CrossFit Hub focuses on achieving competency in endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. We pay attention to all of these components of fitness, and by not specialising in any of them, CrossFit allows you to be better than the average Joe in any given sport. Interested? Because of this philosophy, elite military and police units have adopted CrossFit as their primary physical training tool. Many professional athletes such as martial arts champions have also taken up Crossfit as a strength and conditioning program. So why not you too?

The CrossFit Singapore program is designed to deliver broad, general, and inclusive work outs, with the goal to increase work capacity. This translates to our ability to perform day-to-day tasks more easily.

With universal scalability, the sport welcomes all committed individuals regardless of experience. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs – CrossFit is for everyone!

CrossFit Hub Singapore had our humble beginnings back in 2010 with the simple idea of having people come together to work out. 

Our community has since grown from just a handful of CrossFit enthusiasts to people from all walks of life. We each have our own background, ideals and goals, but in the box, we are equal. Everyone does the same workout, and goes through the same programme.

As much as we would like to make our programming sound impressive and hardcore, we’re just regular folks dedicating 1 hour everyday to be better than what we were before. And we eventually become fitter than your average joe over time. We don’t seek perfection, only progress.

Of course we understand that tackling a CrossFit workout for the first time can be quite daunting (and nobody wants to be the newbie in the box) – but everyone has to start somewhere and it’s not going to be easy. 

But you can take the first step to better fitness by signing up for our CrossFit intro class, and you can decide if CrossFit is for you.

Why CrossFit Hub?

As one of the establishing CrossFit affiliates in Singapore, we remain to be one of the largest and most well-equipped CrossFit facilities. CrossFit Hub has also competed at the CrossFit Games Regionals (Asia) 2012, 2013 and 2014.

We have since shifted our focus from competitive training, to being consistent in what we do. We understand the need to scale movements because not everyone comes in at the same fitness level. If you have a pre-existing injury, we can work with you so that you don’t have to give up fitness.

Because we believe in the CrossFit Singapore methodology, we want CrossFit to be inclusive, and easily accessible to everyone without breaking the bank.
